THE SILENT GRAMMAR OF DECAY
2025 Solo Exhibition Thule Koda sun exhibition room, Kuressaare, Estonia Curator: Hanna-Liisa Lavonen The Ehibition explores the slow, layered, and often complex nature of inner transformation expressed through natural processes. It is a poetic journey through settled memories, landscapes, and symbolic natural changes — a way of describing breaking and growth through the language of nature. Fallen trees, crumbling soils, and emerging new life serve as metaphors telling the story of the soul’s change, slow, sometimes painful, but necessary metamorphosis. The works intertwine the rhythms of nature and inner landscapes, presenting encounters at boundaries, between light and shadow, pure and poisonous, the past and the fragile beginnings of new growth. In this space, breaking down is a natural part of the life cycle, a moment when the old falls away to make room for new roots to take hold. The exhibition gathers previously unexhibited works from the artist’s earlier periods, forming a kind of breath, a documentation of one cycle before the beginning of the next.
